Process for recruitment of 5000 police constables begins in Rajasthan

Jaipur: The police headquarters has started the process for the recruitment of nearly 5000 police constables in Rajasthan. A notice has issued in this regard. The police department will soon publish advertisements for the recruitment after which the candidates will be able to apply. The police constable recruitment exam will likely be held in February or March.

“The application process will begin 15 days after publication of recruitment ads in the newspapers. The candidates will have a 30-day period for applying for the post. The application will be accepted online only. We have issued a separate notice for the recruitment of 79 constables under the Sports Quota,” said a senior police officer.

The officer added that the age will be calculated from January 1, 2020.

“We will first take the written exam. The total marks will be 100. Of them, 75 will be for the written exam in which there will be 150 questions. 15 marks will for physical tests and 10 for special eligibilities,” said the officer. She added that one-fifth of the students who passed the written exam will qualify for physical tests. The candidates will have to run 5 kilometres in 25 minutes. The candidates applying from other states will be considered in general category even if they are in SC/ST or OBC category,” said the officer.

Of the 5000 new recruits, Jaipur commissionerate will get 532 constables.
