Poornima girl Aanchal selected for Flipkart Runway internship.

Jaipur: Aanchal Asnani, a B.Tech student of Poornima College of Engineering (PCE), has landed a coveted internship that will earn her Rs 1 lakh a month. This six-month internship program – named “Flipkart Runway” by e-commerce giant Flipkart – selects a few talented female students from all over the country. Aanchal and her family were overjoyed when they received the news that she had been selected.

This six-month software development internship will be from mid-January to June 30. The company will consider Aanchal for a permanent position after reviewing her performance during the internship. Rahul Singhi, Director, Poornima Group congratulated Aanchal for this achievement.

The Flipkart Runway program was launched for women engineers with the aim to provide them with an accelerated pathway to a successful career in technology. Under this program, only four girls from across the country including Aanchal were selected for a third-year internship. Apart from this, some girls have also been selected for the second-year internship.

Aanchal said that she got information about this internship through the placement cell of the Poornima College of Engineering last year. For this, 14500 candidates registered and gave an online test, in which 30 questions were to be solved in 30 minutes. Based on this test score, 154 girls were shortlisted for an interview. In the interview questions related to coding were asked. Though she could not qualify for a second-year internship, she got the opportunity of a pre-placement interview for a winter internship. She worked hard for two months for this.

She recently got an email from the company that the interview was to be held for the internship. Aanchal said that she was prepared.

“I finished the one-hour interview in only 36 minutes. After this, the company HR informed me that I had been selected,” said Aanchal.
