Police constable gunned down over land dispute in Kota

Abhimanyu Mogia, a police constable posted in Kota went to Kaithoon town of Galana village in Kota to solve a land dispute between two groups of locals. He was accompanied by a police team.

Jaipur: A police constable identified as Abhimanyu Mogia was gunned down over a land dispute near Kaithoon area of Galana village in Kota on Monday. According to preliminary reports, another police man has also been injured in the incident.

The accused men managed to flee from the spot. Police have launched a search for them.  According to the police, a post-mortem examination of the deceased constable’s body has been conducted and they are waiting for the report.

The police officials are recording statements of the people and the further investigation is going on.

Abhimanyu Mogia, a police constable posted in Kota went to Kaithoon town of Galana village in Kota to solve a land dispute between two groups of locals. He was accompanied by a police team. As per reports, the local opened fire in which the police constable Abhimanyu accidentally died.

Tension prevailed in the village following the shootout. Heavy police force has been deployed to maintain law and order.

The police have identified some men in the FIR lodged in connection with the matter.
