Over 12 policemen injured as truck rams into bus on Jaipur-Delhi national highway
The policemen were coming to Jaipur for election duty during Rajasthan assembly elections 2018, which are scheduled on December 7.

Jaipur: More than 12 policemen were injured when the bus they were travelling in was hit by a truck on Delhi-Jaipur National Highway near Shahpura area of Jaipur on Monday morning. They were rushed to a hospital where they are undergoing treatment. The police have booked the truck driver and launched an investigation.
The incident took place on Jaipur-Delhi highway near Bidara Bridge.
According to preliminary reports, a police bus carrying police Jawans from Muradabad in Uttar Pradesh to Jaipur was on its way to Jaipur, when suddenly a truck lost control and rammed into it. The driver of the truck managed to flee from the spot.
Nearly 12 policemen were injured in the accident. Some of them went unconscious. A rescue team along with local police reached the spot and rushed the victims to the hospital. There are reports of loss of life.

The accident led to a heavy traffic jam on the Jaipur- Delhi national highway. The police towed away the vehicles involved in the accident and had to divert the vehicles to clear the blockade.
Police have registered an FIR against the truck driver for rash and negligent driving. A search has been launched for the truck driver.
