OPD timing for government hospitals to change from Oct 1

JAIPUR: The Outpatient Department (OPD) timing for all government hospitals, dispensaries and nursing homes in Rajasthan is going to change from October 1. The OPD timings are changed every year at the onset of the winter season. The OPD will start functioning from 9 am instead of 8 am.

The hospitals that will have the new timings include SMS Hospital, Jaipuria Hospital, satellite hospitals, Kanwatia Hospital, Zanana Hospital and JK Lone Hospital in Jaipur.

In SMS Hospital, Jaipur, doctors will see patients in OPD from 9 am to 3 pm on working day from October 1. While the OPD timings will be from 9 am to 11 am on government holidays and Sundays. The hospital attached to SMS Medical College, JK Lane, Sanganeri Gate Mahila, Zanana, Gangauri and Kavantiya will also have the same timings. This time will be till March 31 next year.

In District hospitals, community health centres (CHC) and primary health centres (PHC), the Rajasthan medical and health department has decided to change the timing of OPD from 9 am to 3 pm on working days whereas outdoor timings will be from 9 am to 11 am on government holidays and Sundays.
