One killed, four injured in accident on Jaipur-Delhi National Highway
The victims were members of a family from Jaipur. They were on their way to Delhi. Their car rammed into a stationed truck.
Jaipur: A 24-year-old man was killed while four others including two women were injured when their car rammed into a stationed truck near Kotputali on Jaipur-Delhi national highway on Thursday. The victims were the members of a family. The injured were rushed to a hospital in Jaipur due to their critical condition, said police.
The deceased victim was identified as Naveen Sindhi. According to preliminary reports, Naveen was driving the car. The injured persons included Vineet Sindhi (16), Arpita (48) and Varsha (24).
According to preliminary reports, the mishap occurred near Raghunathpura turn. The five members of a family were on their way to Delhi from Jaipur. The car lost balance and rammed into a truck stationed on the roadside. All the five persons were seriously injured.
The commuters called up the police following which a team was rushed to the post. The injured were taken to a government hospital nearby where doctors declared one of the victims brought dead. The other injured people including two women were referred to a hospital in Jaipur.
The police are investigating as to how the car lost balance and rammed into the truck. The body was handed over to the family members after a postmortem examination.
