Jaipur: Now the students living in rural areas don’t need to travel to cities to prepare for competitive examinations. The Rajasthan government has launched Dishari App to enable these students to prepare for exams using their cellphone. They can download the app from the Google App store free of cost.

Rajasthan higher education minister Kiran Maheshwari, said that the government wants the students of different cities and villages across the state to prepare for competitive examinations from their respective areas of residence without the hassle of traveling to other places. For this, the college education department has launched a unique app called ‘Dishari’.

Maheshwari, who was speaking at the launch of the application in Science and Technology Park on Tuesday said that the college education department had launched ‘Dishari’ scheme on September 5. Under the scheme, students studying in all government colleges are imparted classes for various competitive examinations by trained faculty for 56 days. The scheme has already been implemented in 10 colleges. Now it is being extended to 24 other colleges.

The minister also stated that those preparing for competitive examination have to pay hefty fees for coaching classes while several remain deprived of such classes. She hoped that the app will solve these problems and enable students to fulfil their dreams of landing government jobs. The educational mobile application will provide free study materials for youths.
