Now, apply for JDA patta (lease) online

Jaipur: Now Jaipurites can apply for Jaipur Development Authority leases (patta) of land and buildings online. The people can apply for a patta online for the projects of JDA, cooperative societies and niji khatedari from November 27. The decision has been taken in a series of steps aimed at curbing corruption and involvement of middlemen in various land registration-related formalities. The process of name transfer and 90-B conversions has already gone online.

“The documents of the applicants will be verified and if they are found genuine, the applicant can apply for a patta online. After a person applies for the lease at the Citizen Service Center of the JDA, he or she will be kept apprised of the progress via email and SMS. The applicant also track the progress online,” said a senior JDA officer.

The JDA officials have been instructed to address any grievances in a timely manner.

“People go to the passport office for verification of the documents only once. The same process will be followed in the JDA. The people will need to come to JDA for the verification of documents once and then they can apply online and track the progress from the comfort of their homes. The system will help us curb corruption and make the process convenient for people,” said JDA T Ravikant.

He added that the system will be implemented from November 27.
