New flights connecting Jaipur with Amritsar from March 31
There is no direct flight to Amritsar currently. The passengers have to fly to Delhi. The new flight will not only reduce travel time, but make the travel between the two cities a lot cheaper.

Jaipur: A new flight connecting Jaipur with Amritsar will be launched from March 31. This will be the first direct flight to Amritsar from Jaipur Airport. There is no direct flight to Amritsar currently. The passengers have to fly to Delhi. The new flight will not only reduce travel time, but make the travel between the two cities a lot cheaper.
“Currently it takes about 4-5 hours to reach Amritsar from Jaipur. The new flight will significantly reduce the travel time. The flight will take only one and a half hours. It will also be more cost-effective,” said an airport official.
The SpiceJet flight (SG-3562) will leave for Amritsar from Jaipur at 6.55 pm and return at 10.10 am.
A new flight to Pune is also being launched by SpiceJet. The number of flights to Pune from Jaipur will go up to three every day. Currently two flights are being operated between Jaipur and Pune by AirAsia and Indigo.
The flight (SG-6636) will leave for Pune at 4.30 pm and return at 6.50 pm.
Another flight being launched from March 31 will connect Jaipur with Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. This will also be the first flight between Jaipur and Dharmshala.
The new direct flight to Dharamshala will benefit a lot of commuters from Jaipur and Himachal Pradesh. They will not have to go to Delhi to board flight for Dharamshala after the operation of Spice Jet’s new flight, added officials.
A 72-seater Spice Jet’s aircraft will depart from Jaipur international airport (JAI) at 6:05 am and will reach Kangra Airport (DHM) at 7:35 am. On its return journey, the flight will take off from Kangra at 11:40 am and will arrive in Jaipur at 12:20 am.
Nearly eleven flights will be discontinued from Jaipur airport from March 31.
