Jaipur: A 60-year-old woman and her 35-year-old son were found dead at a hotel in Jaipur on Saturday. The victims belonged to Mumbai and were visiting Jaipur as tourists.

The police didn’t rule out the possibility that the mother-son duo died of consuming poisonous substance. The police have contacted their family members and are waiting for them to arrive in the city. A postmortem examination will be conducted in their presence.

The woman, identified as Lajwanti, and her son Ankit, had been staying at Vaishnav Hotel on Kabeer Marg since February 20. They were residents of Bandra area in Mumbai.

It has come up during preliminary investigation that Lajwanti and Ankit had come to Jaipur to visit tourist attractions.
