MBBS student arrested for appearing in exam as dummy candidate

JAIPUR: A first-year MBBS student has been arrested for allegedly appearing in place of a candidate in the Senior Teacher (Secondary Education) Second Grade Competitive Examination-2022. The accused, Vishnu Prakash Bishnoi, is a student at Government Medical College, Agartala (Tripura).
According to reports, Vishnu Prakash Bishnoi took the science subject examination as a dummy candidate at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Ambedkar Colony, Narayan Seva Sadan Hiran Magri, Sector 4 in Udaipur. He was paid Rs 5 lakh for his services.
The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jaipur arrested Vishnu after receiving information about him during the interrogation of Gopal Singh Bhadu, who was also involved in the scam. SOG ADG VK Singh said that Vishnu had appeared as a dummy candidate in Gopal’s place in the competitive examination.
The investigation revealed that Vishnu Prakash Bishnoi was given money and made to sit as a dummy candidate in place of Gopal Singh Bhadu. A deal was fixed for Rs 5 lakh for this purpose.
The accused has been produced in court and has been taken on remand till March 25.
