Jaipur: A man identified as Vivekananad alias Vivek Punjab, a native of Beawar in Ajmer district, was found brutally murdered in Kalwada area of Jaipur on Sunday. The man had been stabbed multiple times.

The police cracked the case within a few hours and arrested two men, Hitesh Kumar Sindhi and Vishal Sindhi, who are from the same town, for the crime.

“Hitesh told us during interrogation that his brother Lucky had lent Rs 4 lakh to Vivek two years ago and was not returning the money. Vivek allegedly threated Lucky to the extent that he jumped in front of a train and committed suicide. Hitesh wanted to take revenge for that,” said DCP, east Ashok Kumar Gupta.

The body of Vivekananad was found on the roadside near Nevta Road in SEZ area. On the basis of Aadhaar card recovered from the spot, the victim was identified.

Jaipur police tipped off their Ajmer counterparts following which an investigation was launched.

Both Hitesh and Vishal were taken into custody from Ajmer.

“Vivek had come to Jaipur two days ago. Hitesh called him up and said that he wanted to meet him in Jaipur to which Vivek agreed. Hitesh and Vishal reached Jaipur in a car the next day and met Vivek at a hotel off the highway. They then took him to the place where his body was recovered on some pretext and repeatedly stabbed him,” said the officer.
