Jaipur: Mohammed Husain alias Bablu who was arrested from Jaipur international airport two days ago was collecting funds for banned terror outfits, according to media reports. The youth belonged to Nagaur in Rajasthan and was held at a tip-off from the Sanganer police in Jaipur. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) produced him in a special Delhi court that sent him to 10-day police remand for questioning.

Mohammed Husain, a resident of Kuchaman City in Nagaur district, had been under the radar of NIA for the past few months. NIA had sent notices to his house twice requiring Husain to be present for questioning; however, the agency didn’t receive any response. The man’s family members however, showed up for questioning in October, 2018, according to media reports. Husain and his brother were living in Dubai.

A lookout notice had been issued against Husain. Acting on the notice, Sanganer police team got a tip-off about his arrive in Jaipur.

As soon as he landed in Jaipur from Dubai on Monday, NIA in a joint operation with Rajasthan ATS held him.

Husain’s name had cropped up when a network involved in funding terror outfits was busted in September last year. The suspects were collecting funds for Lashkar-e-Taiba. Three men arrested included a man from Kuchaman.
