Kanhaiya Lal murder: NIA arrests 1 more suspect in Udaipur
Jaipur: National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested one Farhan Mohammed Sheikh alias Babla from Udaipur in connection with the brutal murder of Kanhaiya Lal. He is said to be a close aide of Riyaz – one of the main accused in the case. Sources said that he was actively involved in the terror conspiracy. The number of arrests in the case has now gone up to seven.
Sources added that a meeting had taken place at Patel Circle in Udaipur on June 16 in which it was decided that the video of the murder should be shot so that it could be circulated to the public for creating panic. Babla runs a gang with 50 people.
Earlier, NIA was reluctant to admit that the murder was a terror attack to avenge the comment made by suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma; however, it has come up during investigation the incident was planned with a motive to create terror and people who had suspected links with terror organizations were linked with it. It also exposed the existence of a sleeper cell of terror organizations in Udaipur and Ajmer.
Kanhaiya Lal was brutally murdered by the two main accused who then shot a video.
