Kanhaiyalal murder case: 4 accused produced in special NIA court in Jaipur

Jaipur: The four accused in the Kanhaiyalal murder case in Udaipur were produced before a special court for the National Investigation Agency (NIA) cases in Jaipur on Saturday. The NIA is likely to seek their remand as the Rajasthan ATS has claimed terror connection of the main accused men. The NIA will investigate these claims.

The main accused, identified as Gaus Mohammad and Riyaz Jabbar, were brought to Jaipur from Ajmer in the morning under tight security. Both were lodged in the high-security jail in Ajmer. The other two accused are Mohsin and Asif. They are accused of being involved in the conspiracy of Kanhaiya’s murder.

Five days after the incident, the Udaipur district administration relaxed the curfew in Udaipur for four hours – from 12 pm to 4 pm.

BJP MLA from Ajmer South, Anita Bhadel has claimed that Riyaz had connections with the Congress party. She said that the accused hatched a conspiracy to incite a riot in Ajmer. For this, many WhatsApp groups were created.

Some photographs showing Riyaz in social media posts with Irshad Chainwala and activist Mohammad Tahir associated with BJP Minority Morcha went viral. Irshad Chainwala said that Riyaz had returned from Mecca Medina after performing Umrah. Because of this, he was welcomed with a garland. Chainwala said that he was introduced to Riyaz by Mohammad Tahir. He has no connection with Riyaz.

At the same time, the investigating agencies are also engaged in investigating many angles related to Gaus Mohammad and Riyaz Jabbar on Saturday. Along with this, Mohsin and Asif, the associates of these two arrested on Saturday, can also be interrogated. According to the police, both these youths also had a hand in the conspiracy to kill Kanhaiyalal.

Markets remained closed in many cities on Saturday in protest of the Kanhaiyalal murder case in Udaipur. A bandh was called by Hindu organizations in Kota. This was supported by local traders. The trade union has called a bandh in Alwar also. Sarva Samaj and Hindu organizations have called a bandh in Bharatpur. Karauli city also remained closed.
