Jodhpur: Vaibhav Gehlot files nomination for Lok Sabha elections
Jaipur: Vaibhav Gehlot – son of Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot- filed nomination in Jodhpur for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 on Tuesday. He is the Congress candidate from Jodhpur constituency.
Addressing his supporters in Jodhpur, he said that he is happy to get a chance to serve the people of Jodhpur. “I have been fielded with your blessings and I assure you that I will stand with you always. I will raise the issues in Jaipur as well as Delhi for the development of Jodhpur and its people,” said Gehlot.
Many senior Congress leaders were present in his election campaign rally. They include CM Ashok Gehlot, deputy CM Sachin Pilot, minister Shanti Dhariwal, Harish Choudhary, Divya Maderana, Mamta Bhupesh, Manvendra Singh, BD Kalla, Lalchand Kataria, Richhpal Mirdha, Badriram Jhakar, Leela Maderna, Randeep Dhankar and Jaipur mayor Vishnu Lata.
Ashok Gehlot said that he would expect Vaibhav to respect everyone, follow simplicity and win his fights on his own.
Vaibhav sought blessings of his family members before filing the nomination. He visited his aunt’s house.
In Jaipur, BJP leader Rajendra Rathore accused Gehlot of using his influence to promote his son .
