Jodhpur: Man dies in accident while broadcasting drive on Facebook Live
Police suspect that the driver got distracted due to the live streaming and rammed the car into a tree on the roadside. Three passengers sustained injuries in the road accident; however, their condition is out of danger.

Jaipur: A 48-year-old man, identified as Dalpat Singh Bhati, was killed when his SUV rammed into a tree on Jodhpur-Phalodi state highway in Lohawat area of Jodhpur district on Friday evening. Bhati and three other passengers in the car were streaming their drive live on Facebook Live. Police suspect that the driver got distracted due to the live streaming and rammed the car into a tree on the roadside. Three passengers sustained injuries in the road accident; however, their condition is out of danger.
The post went viral on Facebook as people watched in horror the entire incident being streamed live. The video shows the car was overspeeding.
According to preliminary reports, there were four people in the car. They were on their way to Lohawat. Before they reached Lohawat, one of the men, Sunil Bishnoi, started streaming the drive live on Facebook. Dalpat Singh Bhati was driving the car. He was looking at the mobile phone being held by other passengers. The car passed by a petrol pump and then overtook another vehicle. It then rammed into a tree.
Dalpat Singh Bhati died of excessive bleeding. A police team reached the spot within a few minutes. The victims were rushed to a hospital in an ambulance where Bhati, a resident of Balotara was declared brought dead. Three others – Sunil Bishnoi, Chandrabhan Bishnoi and Devi Singh Rajput were injured. They were provided primary treatment at the hospital. Sunil and Chandrabhan were referred to a hospital in Jodhpur due to their critical condition.
