Jaipur: Wildlife lovers visiting Jhalana leopard safari in Jaipur will have to shell out more money to book gypsy vehicles. For the first time after launching the safari, the forest department has increased the gypsy booking price for Jhalana safari.

Here are the new booking prices for domestic and international tourists:

To book a gypsy for six people, the domestic tourists will pay Rs 2358. The booking price was earlier Rs 2316

The international tourists will pay a gypsy booking price of Rs 4098. It was earlier 3906.

Regional forest officer Janeshwar Singh said that the tourists are taken on  Jhalana panther safari twice every day in morning and evening shifts. There are 10 vehicles for the safari. These vehicles can accommodate up to 120 visitors.

“The revenue will be used for stepping up security arrangement and provide better facility to wildlife lovers,” said a forest department officer.

The safari for the Jhalana jungles was launched during the Vasundhara Raje government in May last year. The forest where the entry of tourists is allowed is spread over an area of 20 square kilometers. There are 31 panthers along with other wildlife animals.

The safari is gaining popularity among domestic as well as foreign tourists.
