Jeevan Ram Godara murder case: Didwana Court sentences 3 to life imprisonment
The court on Wednesday had convicted Sanjay Pandey, Sriballabh, Datar Singh and Pappu Singh. The quantum of punishment was announced on Monday. Sanjay Pandey, Sriballabh and Datar Singh were sentenced to life imprisonment.

Jaipur: The court of additional district judge in Didwana town of Nagaur district on Monday awarded punishment to four men convicted in connection with the broad daylight murder of Jeevan Godara in June, 2006. While three of them got life, one was sentenced to five years imprisonment.
The court on Wednesday had convicted Sanjay Pandey, Sriballabh, Datar Singh and Pappu Singh. The quantum of punishment was announced on Monday. Sanjay Pandey, Sriballabh and Datar Singh were sentenced to life imprisonment.
The court had acquitted 11 men including Manjeet Singh, the brother of Anandpal Singh who was killed in a police encounter in Malasar village of Churu last year.
The heinous murder took place at Godara Market in Didwana town in broad daylight on June 27, 2006. Anandpal Singh and his aides opened fire at Jeevan Godara. Jeevan and his friend Harphool Jat were killed in the firing, while three others Gopal Jat, Pramod and Pappuram sustained bullet injuries.
The police lodged an FIR and investigated the case under the Case Officers Scheme. The accused were arrested and a chargesheet was filed against them.
While Anandpal Singh was killed in a police encounter in Churu district last year, while Balbeer Banuda was shot dead in a firing in Bikaner Central Jail. Banuda died while trying to save Anandpal who was lodged in the same jail. Kaluram also died.
Bhanwar Singh Makaudi was discharged from Rajasthan high court. Anil Nayar and Shahzad are at large. A total of 116 people testified in the trial.
