Jaipur’s Raj Mandir bags Best Single Screen of India award in Mumbai

Raj Mandir was opened in 1976 and attracts not only cine goers, but tourists also for its heritage style and elegance. The theatre makes the audience feel like they are guests in a royal palace.

Jaipur: Raj Mandir Cinema in Jaipur has made Jaipurites feel proud again. It has been awarded ‘Best Single Screen of India’ at Big Cine Expo and IMAX Big Cine Awards 2018. The award ceremony was held in Mumbai. Kishor Kumar Kala and Ankur Khandelwal received the award on behalf of Raj Mandir.

Big Cine Expo held its international trade show and convention for single-screen cinemas, multiplex cinemas, and malls in Mumbai. The event was attended by influential speakers who discussed changing trends, disruptive technology, and opportunities in small towns relating to the cinema and entertainment marketing sector.

The categories for the award included India’s top multiplex chain of the year, best multiplex theatre of the year, best single-screen theatre of the year, best technology adopter of the year, innovative technology of the year, most trusted brand of the year and special achievement award.

Raj Mandir cinema got the best single-screen theatre award of the year, which is a pride for not only Rajasthan but the nation.

According to Ankur Khandelwal, Raj Mandir was the dream of Mehtab Chandra Golcha, who wanted a cinema hall that will cross the boundary of traditional cinema.

Raj Mandir boasts of many movie premiers over the years and has become one of the most popular tourist places in Jaipur. It is located on the Bhagwan Das Road near M.I. Road.
