Jaipur: Panic gripped Bassi area near Jaipur after a youth and a young girl found hanging from a tree in Kalpana Nagar early on Monday. Police suspect that they were into a relationship and committed suicide. The police have informed the family members after identifying the duo.
The girl was Satosh Kumari, a resident of Daulatpura Gusar village, while the youth has been identified as Chandra Mohan Meena belonging to Bapu village.
The local saw the bodies hanging from a tree on the roadside in Kalpana Nagar early on Monday. They informed the police following which senior officials rushed to the spot. The bodies were rushed to a mortuary for a post-mortem examination. The family members have been informed. A forensic examination was also conduced.
According to preliminary reports, the couple was into a relationship, but why they took the extreme step is yet unclear. It was not disclosed whether any suicide note was found. The police will record the statement of the family members to ascertain if there was any foul play and if the girl and youth committed suicide what caused them to take the extreme step.
