Jaipur: Traffic Police launches WhatsApp helpline number

Jaipur: The traffic police administration of Jaipur launched a WhatsApp helpline number on Friday. The step has been taken to resolve traffic-related issues, said officials.

The WhatsApp helpline number of traffic police is 8764866972.

According to the DCP of Traffic Rahul Prakash, any individual would be able to send information related to traffic issues or suggestions related to improving it on the helpline number via  text, pictures or videos using their smartphones.

In addition, people can send information related to parking problem, traffic congestions in overcrowded areas and complaints related to public transport services with specific details such as place, date and time. The traffic police officers will immediately take action.

Also, the public can send the violation of rules by any person or negligence of on duty traffic policeman on Whatsapp. 

This initiative will bring several unnoticed issues to the notice of traffic department officials, said Rahul Prakash.
