Jaipur: St Xavier’s College student dies in road accident near Kukas after New Year party

Pulkit was a resident of Chitrakoot area in Jaipur. The police are trying to contact the other two victims as they were not found on the spot after the mishap.

Jaipur: An 18-year-old teenager, identified as Pulkit Khandewal, died while his two friends were seriously injured when the car they were travelling in went out of control and overturned near Kukas on Monday night. The trio was returning home after celebrating New Year at a resort in Kukas when the incident took place.

Pulkit was a resident of Chitrakoot area in Jaipur. The police are trying to contact the other two victims as they were not found on the spot after the mishap. The body of the victim was handed over to the family members after a post-mortem examination.

Pulkit was a BCom first year student at St Xavier’s College. His father Girish Khandewal is a businessman. According to police, Pulkit was returning home after a New Year party at a Kukas-situated resort around 1 am on Tuesday.

The car lost balance near Kukas bas stand and overturned after hitting the road divider. The nearby residents pulled the victims out of the car and informed the police. A police team rushed to the spot and brought Pulkit to a hospital where doctors declared him dead. He had sustained serious injuries on his head and other body parts. The family members were informed.

The local told the police that the two friends of Pulkit were also injured, but they couldn’t be found on the spot when the police arrived. The cops are trying to get in touch with them and enquiring about them at nearby hospitals. Police officials said that further investigation is going on.
