Jaipur: SOG arrests 7 criminals planning to robe Muthoot Finance’s office in Jhotwara
Two of the arrested men are former employees of Muthoot Finance. They were included in the robbery so that the criminals could hatch a plan to rob the finance company’s office.

Jaipur: Rajasthan special operations group (SOG) on Wednesday arrested seven people including two hardcore criminals while they were planning to rob Muthoot Gold Finance’s office in Jhotwara in Jaipur. Two guns and some cartridge were also recovered from their possession. Two of the arrested men are former employees of Muthoot Finance. They were included in the robbery so that the criminals could hatch a plan to rob the finance company’s office.
According to ADG, SOG & ATS Umesh Mishra, Those arrested were identified as Vikas Singh, Upendra singh, Dharmaveer Singh, Rajkumar alias Neetu alias RK, Somveer Rohilla, Kuldeep Sharma and Sunil Singh. Vikas is a resident of Kalodi village in Rajgarh area in Churu, while Upendra and Dharmaveer belong to Khetari and Navalgarh areas in Jhunjhunu district respectively. Rajkumar and Somveer are residents of Rohtak in Haryana.
IG SOG Dinesh MN said that Vikas and Upendra suffered a loss of Rs 5 lakh in betting. They wanted to recover the money by robbing gold from Muthoot Finance’s office. Kuldeep and Dharmaveer have worked at the finance company in the past.
Somveer and Rajkumar have several cases of murder registered against them. They were currently on the most wanted list of criminals in Haryana after their name cropped up in Anand Pahalwan murder case in Karor on April 27.
Somveer has two cases of murder while Rajkumar four cases registered against them. They are also named in a total of 20 murder cases related to gang wars in Haryana.
The criminals were produced in a court that sent them to seven-day police remand for further interrogation.
