Jaipur: Jyoti Nagar police has arrested jeweler Govind Johari and his employee Ram Narayan on Friday for getting a birth certificate made for his younger brother by using fake documents. Two-and-a-half ago, Govind’s brother Gopal had lodged a report at Jyoti Nagar police accusing him of making a false birth certificate. The police officials checked the documents of the corporation and found the certificate to be fake.

Police officer Raj Kumar Sharma stated that Govind Johari and his ally Ram Narayan have been arrested.  Govind presented fake documents to obtain Gopal’s birth certificate allegedly with an intention to stop his overseas business and to defame him. A child born in 1966 who has died away was presented as Gopal by his brother. While entering the details into the computer, a corporation employee marked the dead boy as alive.

Ramlal, a JMC employee who is suspected to involved in this with Govind, issued the birth certificate under his name. Incidentally, the name of the deceased child’s parents is similar to the parents of Gopal Johari. When documents of the corporation and those of the hospital were matched, the fraudulent activity came to light. Govind had also registered a case against his brother in Gandhi Nagar police stating that Gopal used a fake birth date to get his passport made. This report was sent to Indian embassies in many countries including USA and Australia and also to Gopal’s relatives who live overseas.
