Jaipur chef commits suicide, accuses CA wife’s family of harassment

JAIPUR: A 25-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself in Bhilwara. Before committing suicide, he shot two videos in which he accused the family members of his wife, who is a chartered accountant in Jaipur, of harassment.
The incident took place in the Jahazpur area of Bhilwara. The wife of the victim left him and started living with her family two months ago. The victim identified as Mukesh Tank was depressed over this. He hung himself in a room at his house.
Before committing suicide, he shot two videos and also wrote a suicide note. In the video, Mukesh stated that her wife was innocent, but he accused her family members of harassment.
Based on the suicide note, the victim’s younger brother registered an FIR against the wife’s family members, including her father and mother. The FIR was registered under various sections of the IPC related to the abetment of suicide.
Mukesh was a chef at a restaurant in Jaipur, while his wife, Rupam, was a chartered accountant. Both were financially well off.
They had tied the knot after a love affair in January last year. The marriage took place at an Arya temple.
About two months ago, Mukesh had gone to Jahazpur to visit his family. The wife also left without telling him and started living with her family. Mukesh tried to contact her several times but she did not return.
