Jaipur airport: 12 suspicious men arrested for fake passport stamps

The men had come to Jaipur from Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia in the Air Asia Flight - D7-184.

Jaipur: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) arrested 12 men at Jaipur International airport on Saturday after discovering fake stamp on their passport during the immigration check.

According to the police, the accused men had come to Jaipur from Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia in the Air Asia Flight – D7-184.

The passengers had the fake immigration stamp on their passports. They were being checked at the security check point at the airport when the CISF jawans got suspicious about their passports. They took them into custody and interrogated. The agency then handed over the 12 men to the Jaipur police.

The police are interrogating the passengers and trying to ascertain if they were travelling with bogus documents.

Police officials said that the further investigation is going on.

The cases of smuggling are on the rise at the Jaipur international airport over the past few months.

The police had recently arrested a man suspected of funding terror organizations. The man, a resident of Nagaur district in Rajasthan had come to Jaipur from Bangkok. He was arrested by National Investigation Agency.
