Jaipur: 27-year-old woman commits suicide on a video call with husband
The police are investigating as to what caused the woman, identified as Anuradha, to take the extreme step
Jaipur: A twenty-seven-year-old woman, identified as Anuradha committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in Mansarovar area in Jaipur. The woman was on a video call with her husband on Monday evening.
She ended her life during the video chat. Police officials said that her husband stopped her continuously not to do so but she didn’t listen and committed suicide at her house. The police are investigating as to what caused her to take the extreme step. The husband will be quizzed, police officials said.
The incident happened at Muhana Mandi area of Mansarovar. The deceased has been identified as Anuradha Choudhary, 27, who was living in an apartment building in Muhana area with her husband, Aman Singh Chaudhary and 5-year-old daughter.
As per police officials, Anuradha’s husband was out of the city for some work for the past few days. The two had not been at good terms recently. The woman made a video call to her husband at 7 pm on Monday and started preparing for suicide.
Her husband cried and broke down in the video call and continuously begged her not to do so, but her wife didn’t listen to him and hanged herself from the ceiling fan. Her husband called the police and in-laws using a different phone, but by the time the police reached the spot, the woman was dead.
SHO Devendra Singh told media persons that Anuradha and Aman Singh Chaudhary fell in love around three years ago and got married. This was Anuradha’s second marriage and she had a five-year-old daughter from her first marriage. Aman used to work in Muhana Mandi and Anuradha was running a beauty parlor in Mansarovar area of Jaipur.
Aman had gone to to his village in Punjab for a few days and Anuradha ended her life in his absence.
