Jaipur: 2 arrested for GST invasion of Rs 113 crore

Kapil Vijayvargia and Mohit were allegedly involved in fraudulent activities to evade GST payments. They created and submitted fake bills. Kapil is reportedly the owner of Vijayvargia Motors.

Jaipur: The Directorate General of GST (Goods and services Tax) Intelligence (DGGI) of Jaipur has arrested two men identified as Kapil Vijayvargia and Mohit for the alleged GST envision of Rs 113 crore on Friday night.

The duo was allegedly involved in fraudulent activities to evade GST payments. They created and submitted fake bills. Kapil is the owner of Vijayvargia Motors.

The team of GST Jaipur zonal office conducted raid at 12 different locations in Jaipur on Friday. The officials interrogated the duo and recorded their statements following which they were arrested late on Friday.

According to the officials, the tax evasion worth Rs 113 core has been disclosed. The accused duo tried to generate fake bills of Rs 700 crore.

The accused men have been identified as Kapil Vijayvargia and Mohit, residents of Jaipur. Kapil is the owner of Vijayvargia Motors in Jaipur and Mohit is his wife’s brother.

Police are conducting searches at their home and other properties.

Further investigation is going on.
