JAIPUR: Controversy has surrounded the Indian Premier League (IPL) match ticket sales in Jaipur, with students claiming that tickets priced at Rs 500 are being sold for Rs 5,000 in the black market.

The NSUI student leaders have accused Rajasthan Royals and the government of the scam in the sale of tickets to students. They allege that tickets are being sold to students only on paper for Rs 500, while in reality, students are not receiving any tickets after standing in line for hours.

Rajasthan Royals Vice President Rajeev Khanna has responded to the allegations, stating that arrangements have been made to give tickets worth Rs 500 to general students through Book My Show in offline mode. Students can purchase two tickets by showing their ID card from the ticket counter. However, if this is not happening, it will be investigated.

NSUI national spokesperson Ramesh Bhati has expressed concern over the issue, stating that Rajasthan Royals have created a lot of corruption under the patronage of the BJP government of Rajasthan. He claims that during the IPL match in Jaipur, the general public is being looted from parking to food counters and now corruption is being done in student ticket sales as well.

Student leader Amardeep Parihar has also spoken out against the issue, stating that black marketing is being done extensively in the name of student tickets and Rajasthan Royals are collecting tickets but not giving them to students. He demands that strict action should be taken by the government and administration so that common students can also watch cricket matches without getting cheated or looted financially .
