Innovation and Entrepreneurship Boot Camp at PIET, Jaipur saw participation of teachers and students from across the country.

JAIPUR: The Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) recently hosted the Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Boot Camp, which was organized by the AICTE Idea Lab.

The two-day event brought together approximately 180 teachers and 60 students from various parts of India, all of whom were eager to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.

The event was a collaborative effort between the Government of India, AICTE, Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MoE’s innovation cell), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT). It aimed to provide a platform for educators and students to develop their skills in innovation and entrepreneurship.

During the boot camp, participants engaged in interactive sessions, immersive workshops, and collaborative activities that helped them develop a human-centric approach to identifying opportunities and mastering design thinking tools. They also honed their abilities to develop customer-centric products and services, which could potentially lead to startups and ventures.

Dr. Payal Bansal, HOD of PIET AICTE Idea Lab, expressed her excitement about the collaboration and emphasized the importance of institutions like PIET in shaping India’s future in innovation and entrepreneurship. Dr. Dinesh Goyal, Principal Director of PIET, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the commitment to enrich creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among faculty and students.

The boot camp featured six interactive workshops led by experts in their fields. On the first day, Paresh Gupta, Founder of GCEC; guided participants on unlocking their entrepreneurial path; while Pawan Solanki shared impactful insights with them. Dr. Kavya Saini; Dr., Sheenu Jain from Wadhwani Foundation led sessions on customer insights; igniting innovations on day one.. Day two saw Dr., Tarun Sharda; Chairman & Managing Trustee Sharda Foundation; Dr., Saurabh R Nirmale Regional Consultant Ministry Of Education’s Innovation Cell guide participants on grants & funding opportunities . There were also sessions conducted by DR.. Kavya Saini & DR., Sheenu Jain further delved into customer insights & rapid prototyping.
