IIT aspirant falls off 7th floor of his apartment building in Tilak Nagar, dies

The police are investigation whether Jeet fell off accidently or he committed suicide. They however didn’t recover any suicide note.

Jaipur: A 17-year-old boy identified as Jeet Kothari died after he fell off the seventh floor of his apartment building in Tilak Nagar area of Jaipur on Tuesday. A police team from Adarsh Nagar police station rushed to the spot after getting information from the building residents and family members.

The police are investigation whether Jeet fell off accidently or he committed suicide. They however didn’t recover any suicide note.

The incident took place at Akshita apartment. The deceased student is identified as Jeet Kothari (17), a resident of Tilak Nagar in Jaipur. He was living with his family in Jaipur. His father Hakeem Chand works at a private firm. According to the family members, Jeet was preparing for IIT exams after his senior secondary education.

Jeet told his family members that the he was going to the terrace to have a stroll around 6 am on Tuesday. The terrace is on the seventh floor of the building. Family members heard a loud thud followed by a scream and realized that Jeet has fallen off the building. They rushed him to a hospital where he died while undergoing treatment, added relatives.

Police handed over the deceased’s body to the family members after a post mortem examination.

What caused Jeet to fall off is still unclear. The police are investigating whether it was an accidental fall or he committed suicide.

Police officials will record the statement of the family members in connection with the incident. Further investigation is going on.
