Harassed by ex-girlfriend, man commits suicide in Kota

Jaipur: A young man committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train in Kota. The deceased man, identified as Manoj Bairwa (25), left a suicide note in which he accused his ex-girlfriend of harassment and blackmail. He stated that she was demanding money and extorting him. He added he had already paid her Rs 2 lakh after she allegedly threatened to implicate her in a rape case.
Manoj Bairwa was a resident of Tummipura (Jaitpur) in Bundi district. He jumped in front of the train at Indergarh. Indergarh GRP put the dead body of the deceased in MBS Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
Manoj’s younger brother Lokesh Bairwa told the police that Manoj was a BA second-year student. He worked as a painter. A girl from the village was in a relationship with him. She ended the relationship about 5-6 months ago. She then started blackmailing him. The brother alleged that Manoj was borrowing money to pay her.
Lokesh alleged that Manoj sent a message to him before coming suicide. Manoj in the message said that her ex-girlfriend had been blackmailing him for the past few months. Manoj wrote that he had given her about Rs 50,000 in the past 30 days. He had to sell his bike and mobile phone to pay her.
Manoj wrote that he had given her everything he had and he couldn’t tolerate the extortion. She was threatening to implicate him in a rape case.
