Golf carts launched at Amber Fort in Jaipur

Jaipur: Tourists will now be able to enjoy a golf cart ride at Amber Fort in Jaipur. The iconic monument welcomes a large number of tourists and the introduction of golf carts will only add to its ever-growing charm. Segway scooters were started here in July and now the golf carts will be seen helping the people explore the beauty and majesty of Amer. The new service was inaugurated on Wednesday by tourism minister Krishnendra Kaur Deepa.
Tourists will now three options to explore the fort. The golf carts are expected to get a positive response from the travelers. Prior to this, the Segway scooters and elephant safaris have been extremely popular amongst the visitors. The new vehicle has a heritage look adding to its overall appeal. These carts are to be used after the time for the elephant safari has elapsed. From 11 am until evening these modern vehicles will serve the tourists.
At the moment 10 golf carts are being operated however the number is likely to witness a rise in coming months. The introductory prices are Rs 40 and Rs 50 for single and double rounds respectively. This will be reviewed after the initial period. The golf carts will be of great help to elderly as well as disabled persons. The cart can accommodate 5 people in addition to the guide.
