Firing in Sikar: History sheeter Manoj Ola shot at, gang war suspected

Jaipur: Known criminal and history sheeter, Manoj Ola was shot by four unidentified men at RK Mart on Piprali Road in Sikar on Thursday evening. Manoj Ola sustained six bullet injuries and was referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur in critical condition.

Manoj is a close aide of notorious criminal Raju Teth who is behind bars. Police have not ruled out the possibility of a gang war. Raju Teth gang has animosity with Subhash Baral gang in Shekhawati area. The police are investigating if the firing was a fall out of this gang rivalry.

The cops are studying footages of CCTVs installed in the area to identify the shooters. The car used as a getaway vehicle by the shooters was caught on a CCTV. The police have got the registration number of the car and said that they would identify its owner soon.

Manoj was at RK Mart when more than four people came there in a car. They started firing indiscriminately at the history sheeter. He tried to escape, but sustained six bullet injuries. The shooters escaped from the spot after the firing which created panic in this busy area.

The incident took place in the evening. A police team rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. Manoj was rushed to a hospital in Sikar. Doctors referred him to SMS Hospital in Jaipur due to his critical condition.

A forensic examination of the spot was also conducted. SP, Sikar Tejpal Singh also rushed to the crime scene.

Raju Teth is currently lodged in a jail. His gang has a rivalry with that of Subhash Baral. Manoj Ola is close aide of Raju Teth. The police are rounding up members of the Subhash Baral gang to ascertain if the shootout was the result of this gang rivalry.
