Final list of candidates fighting in RU elections 2018 released, 3 NSUI rebels in fray

Jaipur: The final lists of student leaders who will contest the Rajasthan University (RU) student unions election 2018 is finally out. Many candidates withdrew their names by 3 pm on Monday.The final list of students contains 6 candidates for the president’s post, 7 for vice presidents post, 8 for general secretary and 8 for joint secretary.

ABVP Rebel Amit Badbadwal withdrew his nomination. Returning the favor, ABVP has made him the election convener.  Three of the four NSUI rebels Dushyant Singh, Mahesh Samota and Vinod Jakhar didn’t withdraw their nomination and have decided to contest the election for the presidents’ post. ABVP has also released its election manifesto with 35 points included in it.

Twenty-nine student leaders will content the RU elections for the post of president, vice president, general secretary and joint secretary. A total of 50 nominations were filed on Saturday out of which 29 candidates withdrew their nominations on Monday.
