Fake arms license case in Alwar: FIR registered; one suspended

Jaipur: An FIR has been registered by the additional district magistrate office with Kotwali police station area in Alwar after it came to light that fake signatures and seal of the district collector were used for issuing fake arms license.
After a preliminary investigation, one employee – Durgesh Chola – has been suspended and the records have been sealed. Some other employees of the Alwar district collector office are under scanner. Two of them – Durgesh Chola and contractual employee Sushil Arora – have been named in the FIR, the officials said.
The fake arms license case was earlier exposed in Sriganganagar and investigated by the CBI. This yet another case has shocked the police and administration. In the preliminary investigation, at least three fake licenses have been discovered.
The district collector Indrajeet Singh has constituted a committee to examine all the arms license issued in the recent past. The matter was exposed when a man, identified as Santosh Meena, applied for verification of his arms license. No record of his application was found. There was bogus seal and signature of the district collector. ADM city Uttam Singh Shekhawat registered an FIR with Kotwali police station on June 19.
The district collector office launched an investigation and found two more bogus arms licenses.
The two employees of the collector office were found involved.
Further investigation is going on.
