Facing negligence in COVID-19 treatment? Call up this Rajasthan govt number to complain

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has instructed all doctors at government hospitals in the state not to be negligent in responding to COVID-19 cases and the treatment of patients. Rajasthan health minister Raghu Sharma said that the doctors are playing a crucial role in containing the spread of the virus and their role is appreciated; however, a strict action will be taken against negligent doctors. He said that anyone who face negligence in this regard can complain at the control room number – 0141-2225624.

Dr Sharma said that a nodal officer has been appointed at the control room to process the complaints received from people in the state. The minister also said that the private hospitals couldn’t be allowed to charge arbitrary treatment fee. They need to follow the guidelines laid down by the government. Those who were found negligent will face action, he said.

A total of 395 coronavirus positive cases were reported in Rajasthan on Tuesday. Of them 107 were from Jaipur. Over 70 cases in Jaipur were reported from different quarantine centers including hotels where those who arrived in the city from other places were being kept. The total number of cases in Rajasthan have gone up to 15,627. Nine more deaths were reported in the state, taking the death toll to 365. The number of active cases is also on the rise. It went up to 3049 on Tuesday.
