JAIPUR: SpiceJet has announced direct flights from Jaipur to Ayodhya starting February 1. The flight will only take 1 hour and 45 minutes, making it quick and convenient for passengers. It will operate four days a week – Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The departure time from Jaipur is at 7.30 am with flight number SG-3421. The plane will land in Ayodhya at 9.15 am. On the return journey, flight number SG-3426 will take off from Ayodhya at 3.45 pm and arrive in Jaipur airport at 5:30 pm.

This is the first direct flight from Rajasthan to Ayodhya, as previously there were no options available for travelers seeking this route directly. However, there are already daily direct flights from Jaipur to Varanasi by SpiceJet and Lucknow by Indigo Airlines.

To accommodate the new flight to Ayodhya, SpiceJet will discontinue its service between Jaipur and Surat that used to go back and forth between these two cities.

Additionally, Indigo Airlines based in Jaipur is also planning on launching flights to Ayodhya soon.

For those who prefer train travel, it’s possible to reach Ayodhya from Jaipur via train as well. However, there aren’t many trains available currently with most of them passing through but not stopping at Ayodhya station directly. The journey duration can range between 13 to 18 hours depending on the train schedule; most notably among them is a weekly service offered by one of the trains
