DG-IG Conference to conclude in Jaipur today; Modi to participate in discussions on 5 topics

PM Modi will go from Raj Bhavan to Rajasthan International Center at 8:40 am to participate in the conference.

CM Bhajanlal welcomes PM Narendra Modi

JAIPUR: Today is the last day of the DG-IG conference, where about 8 topics will be discussed. PM Narendra Modi will leave after discussing 5 of these topics. Home Minister Amit Shah will join for the remaining discussions.

PM Modi will go from Raj Bhavan to Rajasthan International Center at 8:40 am to participate in the conference. He will have lunch with officials at 1 pm and tea at around 4:10 pm before leaving for Delhi.

CM Bhajanlal Sharma will reach Jaipur airport as per PM Modi’s schedule. Some ministers, including CM, will see off PM Modi at the airport. DGP Rajasthan UR Sahu and NSA Ajit Doval will also be present.

On Saturday, four topics were discussed during the conference. Khalistan terrorism was one topic where suggestions were sought from all states’ DGs and NSA Ajit Doval shared his input.

Cyber security was another topic that lasted for about three hours with participation from experts and teams across India. PM Modi was informed about ongoing work in this area.

Changing laws, increasing punishment and fines were discussed by many state DGs including Home Minister Amit Shah for about four hours.

Human trafficking was given two hours of discussion time with a presentation by Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai on its causes and prevention methods.

Due to PM’s long stay at the conference, SPG has taken control of Rajasthan International Centre ensuring heavy police guard on all routes for security purposes.
