Depressed over debt, jeweller commits suicide in Jaipur
The deceased has been identified as Satyaprakash Goyal (45), a resident of Sitarampuri area of Jaipur. He was a Jaipur based jewelry businessman. Satyaprakash was living in Jaipur with his wife Roma and his two daughters Tishu and Gauri.

Jaipur: A 45-year-old jewellery businessman identified as Satyaprakash Goyal committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Sitarampuri. He was allegedly depressed over a debt of Rs 2 crore. He left a suicide note and mentioned about the loan he had taken from a bank.
Satya Prakash was a Jaipur-based jeweller. Satyaprakash was living in Jaipur with his wife Roma and his two daughters Tishu and Gauri.
According to the police, Satyaprakash was alone in the house on Tuesday morning. His wife had left for her office. One of his daughters was in the school while the other one was playing at a neighbour’s house. Satyaprakash wrote a suicide note and hanged himself from the ceiling fan using a saree.
A neighbour saw Satyaprakash hanging and informed the police.
Police rushed to the spot and sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
In the suicide note, the deceased mentioned that he had lost the will to live. He was unable to bear the pressure that the debt had put him under. He had taken a loan of Rs 2 crore from the bank, but couldn’t repay it as the business was not good recently.
Police handed over the body to the family members. Further investigation is going on.
