Darshan Rawal’s live performance in annual fest ‘Lakshya’ enthrals Poornima students

Jaipur: Poornima University’s annual sports & cultural fest ‘Lakshya 2022’ concluded with a grand celebrity night. On this occasion, famous Bollywood singer Darshan Rawal gave live performances on the campus. He gave melodious renditions of many popular songs like ‘Chogada’, ‘Kamariya’, ‘Tu Mileya’, ‘Rabba Meher Kari’ and ‘Jannat Ve’. He also presented his recently released song ‘Goriye-Goriye’.
The students enjoyed the live performance. They danced to songs like ‘Tera Jikar’ and ‘Humma-Humma’. At the end of the celebrity night, Renu Singhi, Advisor of Poornima Alumni Association (PAA), presented a memento to singer Darshan Rawal. During this three-day event, various indoor and outdoor competitions were organized in the sports and cultural category. Students participated in games like football, box cricket, volleyball, carom, chess, table tennis, handball, relay race, long jump, basketball, kabaddi, kho-kho and shot put. Under cultural events, open mic, DJ night and fashion shows were organized.
Raju Lal Choudhary, Dy SP & Sports Officer, Rajasthan Police was the chief guest of the inaugural ceremony of this fest, while Arya Kumar Mishra, Head HR, Genus Power Infrastructure Limited and Shashi Bhargava, MD, Johns Electric Company Private Limited were the Guests of Honors. These guests inaugurated the fest by lighting the torch and also unveiled the trophies of Lakshya Fest. University President Dr. Suresh Chandra Padhe; Pro President Dr. Manoj Gupta; Registrar Dr. Chandni Kriplani and Student Council Chair Ayush Ranjan Bharti were also present on the occasion.
While motivating the students chief guest Raju Lal Choudhary said that sports should not be taken lightly. While sharing his sports journey, he told the students about the difficulties faced during this period. Arya Kumar Mishra suggested that students should participate in college and university events and if for any reason, they couldn’t do so, they should definitely contribute to their management. Shashi Bhargava explained the importance of extra-curricular activities for the students and advised them to bring out their hidden talents by participating in fests like Lakshya.
