Coronavirus: Curfew in Walled City in Jaipur after 2 test positive

Jaipur: As the people continued to flout lockdown guidelines, the government has imposed curfew in 7 police station areas of the Walled City (parkota) including Ramganj, Kotwali, Manak Chowk, Bhramapuri, Nahargarh, and Galta Gate. The people will not be allowed to venture out of their homes and heavy police force has been deployed to ensure strict implementation of the curfew.

The curfew was imposed after a man tested positive for Coronavirus in Ramganj on Thursday. There were reports that one more man has tested positive on Friday. However, there were no official confirmation in this regard till the reports last came in.

The man who tested positive on Thursday had returned home from Oman 14 days ago and reportedly defied lockdown guidelines even after he developed virus systems. There were reports that the man came in contact with over 200 people. The authorities had already imposed curfew in a 1 km radius of the home where the man live. Several members of his family were quarantined. The medical and health department teams are trying to trace all the people who had come in contact with the man.

The administration has prepared to home deliver essential items in the areas where the curfew has been imposed.

The total number of Coronavirus cases in Rajasthan has reached 45. The two family members of the 60-year-old man who died after being infected with the virus tested positive on Friday. The number of Coronavirus cases in Bhilwara has gone up to 21.
