Jaipur: Congress national president Rahul Gandhi was all praise for former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot, once again adding fuel to speculations surrounding the ongoing supremacy fight in the party’s state unit.
During a coordination committee meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi told the party workers that Gehot was one in a million and an extraordinary leader.
Rahul went on to say that they should draw inspiration from Gehlot.
Ashok Gehlot is an ideal figure in the politics because he follows the Gandhian philosophy, Rahul said while addressing the young party workers.
The comments have cheered Gehlot supporters in Rajasthan.
The state unit on Wednesday organized a function in Jaipur to honor Congress candidates Dr Karan Singh Yadav, Raghu Sharma and Vivek Dhakar who defeated BJP in the recently held by-elections.
