Body of Gujarat woman found on highway in Jhalwar, Murder suspected
The woman, identified as Rachna Jairam Modi, had injury marks caused by a sharp-edged weapon on her neck following which the police suspect that she was murdered and her body was dumped there.

Jaipur: The body of a 30-year-old woman belonging to Surat in Gujarat was found in the middle of the highway in Jhalawar district early on Wednesday.
The woman, identified as Rachna Jairam Modi, had injury marks caused by a sharp-edged weapon on her neck following which the police suspect that she was murdered and her body was dumped there.
However, a car damaged apparently in accident was also found parked a few meters from the spot where the body was recovered. The cops have launched an investigation.
The body was spotted by a police patrolling vehicle on Jhalawar-Baran Megha Highway around 2.30 am on Wednesday. The police soon spotted the car also.
“Prima-facie it seems that woman was murdered; however, further investigation is going on,” said a police officer.
The body of the woman has put in the mortuary of a government hospital in Jhalawar. The family members have been informed. The woman was identified on the basis of some identification documents recovered from the car and her clothes. Her address is listed on the ID cards as Sagun Villa Apartment on NIP Road in Surat. The police contacted their counterpart in Gujarat. The woman is divorced.
