BCom student among 3 Bhilwara youths arrested with Rs 120 crore heroin in Delhi

The cops found 30 kg heroin hidden in a specially designed box concealed under the car of the accused youths. It has come up during preliminary investigation that they had brought the drugs from Manipur and were trying to smuggle the drugs into Rajasthan when they were arrested.

Jaipur: Three youths from Bhilwara were arrested by the special cell of Delhi police in possession of heroin worth Rs 120 crore in the international market. The youths are from Bigod and Mandalgarh areas of Bhilwara district.

The cops found 30 kg heroin hidden in a specially designed box concealed under the car of the accused youths. It has come up during preliminary investigation that they had brought the drugs from Manipur and were trying to smuggle the drugs into Rajasthan when they were arrested.

The three youths were identified as Abdul Rashid (26), Arbaz Mohammed (21) and Mohammed Nazim (22). Nazim is a student of BCom final year. The trio works as drivers.

The Delhi police officials claim that the gang had been involved in smuggling of drugs for the past four years and have smuggled over 200 kg of heroin worth nearly Rs 800 crore in the international market.
The drug was supposed to be sold in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh ahead of New Year celebrations. It had been smuggled to Manipur from Myanmar.

The accused youths have allegedly told the police that they are members of an international cartel involved in drug smuggling. They had taken the delivery of the consignment from someone in Imphal. The arrested youths are just couriers who were paid Rs 50,000 for each trip.
