Alwar: Firing in birthday party by Delhi police constable kills 1

The victim, a resident of Mundawar in Alwar, owned a milk dairy in Sector – 3 of Rohini in Delhi. The incident took place in a village near Mundawar on Saturday.

Jaipur: Two policemen of Delhi police got so drunk in a birthday party in Alwar district that one of them started firing in the air. One of the bullets hit a 35-year-old man, identified as Sundar Singh Gurjar. The victim died of gunshot wound on his head, according to the police. The two policemen rushed him to a hospital and then disappeared. The police have launched a manhunt for them.

The victim, a resident of Mundawar in Alwar, owned a milk dairy in Sector – 3 of Rohini in Delhi. The incident took place in a village near Mundawar on Saturday.

Sundar came to attend the birthday party of his nephew. He brought his two friends identified as Anil Choudhary and Raju Paliwal – who are constable and head constable with Delhi police respectively- along with him.

After the birthday ceremony, Anil Choudhary and Raju Paliwal consumed liquor. When the child was cutting the cake, Anil started in the air. Sundar asked him to stop, but he didn’t pay heed. Anil lost balance as he was under the influence of alcohol. A bullet hit Sundar on his head. The incident created panic among people attending the party.

Anil, Raju and a relative took Sundar to a community health center in a car. He was referred to a hospital in Bhiwari. The duo brought him to the hospital, but disappeared before taking him to the ICU. The doctors declared Sundar brought dead.

The relative informed the police following which police teams from Bhiwadi and Mundawar rushed to the spot. Sundar’s brother Jaswant Singh Gurjar has registered an FIR against Anil and Raju.
