Ajmer: Man murders disabled daughter, commits suicide

Jaipur: A man allegedly killed his daughter and then committed suicide by consuming poison in Ajmer town on Thursday. Their bodies were discovered in the morning. According to preliminary reports, the man killed the girl by making her consume poison because she was disabled and couldn’t speak. He was tired of looking after her.

The incident was reported in Nagra area of Nasirabad Rod in Ajmer on Thursday. The accused man, Rambabu, murdered his 22-year-old daughter Himandri and then consumed poisonous substance. Rambabu made his daughter consume poison to kill her. When neighbors checked on the family, the girl and her father were found dead in a room in the house. A team of Alwar Gate police station rushed to the spot and launched an investigation.

According to preliminary reports, the girl was mentally disabled. She could not speak and was not able to walk properly. Rambabu used to work at a post office, but had to quit his job to care for his daughter.

A neighbor said that the bodies were discovered when a milk supplier knocked on their doors and didn’t get any response. He called up Rambabu on his cell phone , but the latter didn’t answer the call. He entered the house and saw the dead bodies. He then informed the police. The doctors declared the girl and her father brought dead.
