Jaipur: After arresting Ajay Chopra – the owner of Jaipur’s leading advertising agency Crayons, the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) has started unravelling the alleged conspiracy behind a multi-crore government advertising scam.

ACB is interrogating Kunal Lalani, the chairman of the advertising agency and Chopra’s wife Mangla Chopra.

ACB officials said that they would be confronted with Ajay Chopra.

ACB is planning to interrogate Chopra face-to-face with the agency’s other officials.

The ACB has already arrested some officials of Crayons including media manager Lokesh Gupta along with Amit Gupta and Ravikant Sharma.

Ajay Chopra surrendered before a special ACB court on Tuesday.

He had an arrest warrant issued against him in connection with a multi-crore government advertising scam.

The ACB court in July last year issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Chopra after the ACB accused him of issuing government advertisements worth around Rs 3 crore to various agencies during previous Congress regime.

ACB registered five separate FIRs in connection with the scam on a complaint by one Shankar Lal Gujjar.

The non bailable arrest warrant was issued against Chopra after he didn’t make himself available for questioning before the investigation agency.

Chopra came to the ACB court on Tuesday morning and surrendered in all five cases registered against him, the ACB arrested him in connection with only one of these FIRs.
