ACB: ESI Inspector arrested for taking bribe of Rs 10,000

Jaipur: The Bundi team of Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Employee’s State Insurance Cooperation Inspector Rajkumar Choudhary after he was allegedly caught accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 on Wednesday. The ACB laid the trap at Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital in Jaipur.
The accused Rajkumar Choudhary is posted in Employee’s State Insurance Cooperation.
According to the officials, the ACB received a complaint from Anurag, a resident of Jaipur. He works at the Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital in Jaipur.
As per the complainant, the accused official Rajkumar Choudhary asked a bribe amount of Rs 10,000 from him in the lieu of withdrawing the penalty of Rs 40,541 on his ESI and PF account. He had already deposited his ESI and PF amount, but a penalty of Rs 40,541 was imposed on him.
After the ACB verified the complaint and found it to be genuine, a trap was laid.
The ACB officials caught Rajkumar Choudhary red-handed while accepting the bribe of Rs 10,000 on Wednesday at Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital. He has been arrested and booked under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The officials will soon present him in the court.
Further investigation is going on.
